Expenses & Templates
Track the outward flow of money that isn't directly related to buying inventory.
Types of Expenses in Bizlync
1. One-Off Expenses
A single, non-repeating cost (e.g., "Emergency Plumbing Repair", "Lunch Meeting").
2. Recurring Expenses
Costs that trigger periodically (e.g., "Monthly Internet", "Yearly Software License"). These happen in the background to ensure your dashboard profit calculations are perfectly accurate.
3. Expense Templates (For POS)
These act as fast-action deduction buttons directly within the Point of Sale area. If your business regularly deals with immediate costs attributed to a sale (e.g., paying a delivery driver a tip from the register, logging an immediate installation fee cost, or taking petty cash), you can create an Expense Template.
How it works in the POS
When a cashier adds an Expense Template to the cart, the system assigns it a $0 "Selling Price", but attaches the template's specified cost. This effectively reduces the total profit of that specific invoice without inflating revenue.
